Hooker Day Parade

The annual Hooker Day Parade claims to celebrate Thomas Hooker, Hartford's founder, but it is really an excuse to dress funny and act goofy.

  2. Cute. But since when did the Hookers and others in Hartford need an excuse to dress funny and act goofy? :-)

  5. Thomas had an unfortunate last name, but it seems there's lots of Hookers in Hartford! Great pics.

  8. I love these photos. Wonderful. Thomas Hooker went to school (I believe) in Market Bosworth...not far from Coventry. (Jack - That is so interesting about what you had to say about thatched roofs in South Africa. I am wondering if the style is similar to ones in UK.)

  14. Yes, I'm glad you explained the name, too!! Nothing like seeing celebrating hookers, but it seemed a little far out for Connecticut!! Terrific, colorful captures, Jack, and a great smile to start my day!!

  15. So does this mean there was no football watching and 'tinkering with photos' then Jack! These shots look like you were having much more fun outdoors!
