Geometry

I have done something similar before, but I liked it then and I like it now.

This is the Hartford Steam Boiler building, also known as One State Street.

  5. I LOVE this shot! Perfect angle and perspective. This photo transcends the subject - although geometry actually is the subject, not the building. LOVE it!

And Jack, Panama hats might totally be in style in Connecticut. Down here, Rays caps are what's in right now! hahahahahaha

  6. I love this one! What a great intersection of lines and reflections. I could look at this a little while longer and still see something new. Really creative shot, Jack!

  7. These are fun shots...you had a good eye to catch this just right! If only I had paid more attention in geometry class.

  8. A pattern of lines and angles with corresponding geometric shapes is always fascinating.

  21. @Ann, I moved around for a while until I had a perspective that would be symmetrical. Then I took three shots. The biggest challenge was to get the center line perfectly vertical and centered. One was very close out of the camera, but I did a slight rotation of the image and then did a slight cropping to make it as symmetrical as I could get it.

  24. I love the geometrics here - you did a great job. But I also find that I love the colors, too. The lights, darks, and tones add just the right touch. Masterful!
