Rufus
Rufus sat alone on a park bench on a perfect spring afternoon. Beside him an old tape recorder played blues music. Rufus' daughter recorded him playing the guitar and singing, back in the day. It was beautiful.
Oh that is so nice Jack! What a wonderful face, although as Dianne said a touch of the 'wistful' in his expression. It must have been a surprise for you to hear the music as you approached. I have now lost my voice, which some may say is a good thing haha!
Superbe photo. Le portrait de cet homme au chapeau, nous fait plonger dans son regard, direct , franc, et doux à la fois. Un léger sourire nous parle de sa complicité avec le photographe. Très humain.
I'm sure Rufus has many stories to tell Jack .... There's a hint of sadness in his face. Well captured.
ReplyDeleteand so is rufus.
ReplyDeleteCan't help myself; I LOVE portraits and this is a fine one. This man has many stories to tell and each one would probably mesmerize us.

This is a great portrait. Maybe those old tapes should be digitally remastered and re-released on cd.

Such a beautiful portrait, Jack!
ReplyDeleteRufus has a very gentle face.
ReplyDeleteI love that he was listening to his own music!
ReplyDeleteA fine portrait - I imagine a gentle wistful blues with a raggy guitar style. Or maybe it's just the hat reminding me of Mississippi John Hurt?
ReplyDeleteHe looks like a very interesting man. Your portraits are really coming along Jack! :)
ReplyDeleteSmart daughter.
ReplyDeleteRufus looks like an interesting person indeed. Great portrait Jack.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure this gentleman could tell us many good stories.
