Yep, your tax dollars at work! Three to give instructions and one to do the work -- just like government in general!! And they have an audience as well! Hope your week is off to a great start, Jack!
Love the above comments on this one Jack, they do look to be making the most of it, meanwhile how stylish is the lady walking by wondering to herself 'how many municipal workers does it take to plant flowers in one planter'?? btw I bet your bike helmet doesn't look nearly as dashing as your 'safari hat'!!
Do we really have to discuss economies of scale, man hours vs head count, special tax districts that actually pay for these improvements (educate yourself before you open your yap, Lois), yada-yada-yada. You know better, and owe these men (and your readers) an apology.
Obviously a lot Jack ... I would say two planters and two advisers !! Don't worry the same thing happens here and of course after all that they will need to take a smoko break!
Hahaha! I found this image while looking for something else. This whole time I thought it was only in Toledo, OH that this would happen! My husband and I watched 8 city workers plant one tree last fall. It was just a small tree. The root ball was no bigger then 2 feet wide. They also had three trucks out blocking our street. Five guys stood around the tree taking turns throwing MULCH into the hole while the other three drank coffee and smoked! Sweet job!
I think we can do it with two workes in Haninge. I know a few people involved. And the municipality wanted to buy park photos from me the other day.
ReplyDeleteBeautifying the city takes lots of effort, Jack! The woman in that marvelous colored shirt looks interested in their work.
ReplyDeleteat least they all look as if they are getting their hands dirty (except for that one who is using gloves!)
ReplyDeleteLOL
ReplyDeleteOne is working the the others are giving him some decorating ( tips ) advice!
Léia :)
love this shot.
ReplyDeleteI see a street light in the background. Maybe you can stake it out and find out how many it takes to change a light bulb.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure taxpayers would probably say that's 3 too many. Hopefully, the planter looks dynamite now.
ReplyDeleteI will not tell you about DC.
ReplyDeleteYour tax dollars at work!
ReplyDeleteOne to hold the plant, one to dig the hole, one to place the plant, one to cover the hole, silly!

Charming previous comment.
ReplyDeleteThat lady is very elegant!
Hmmm, looks like 2 workers and 2 overseers. Always love to see workers beautifying the world with flowers!
ReplyDeleteVery funny , Jack! :-)
ReplyDeleteHey, this looks like Italy!
ReplyDeleteP.S. The pose of the lady is a picture apart!
ReplyDeleteAt least you are getting flowers!
