Nathan Hale has been here before and he will be here again. He is Connecticut's State Hero. This statue of Hale stands in the east wing of the Connecticut State Capitol. It is the quieter side of the building. I wonder if that gesture is an exasperated plea for more excitement . . .

Wonderful captures of Nathan Hale ... With the warm backdrop of a soft gold decor ... Beautiful!
I trust you are having a wonderful Easter season Jack.
This sculpture is far superior to the one in a small park in St Paul, which I have posted on my blog in the past. This one of yours makes him look so human.
Very nice captures!
Love the decoration of the room! So beautiful!
Thanks for sharing, Jack;o)

He's a handsome sculpture of a guy, that Nathan Hale!
Very dignified surroundings there in the capitol building!
i'm enjoying these amber-toned images very much, jack.
Very nice. Handsome looking.
It's probably time to have a little party in that wing of the Capitol to liven up his atmosphere.
I think most people would want less excitement, not more excitement in the state capitol building.
Another great compostion with a gorgeous background! Well done, Jack.
Upstanding citizen...looks like he could of been a ballet dancer too.
Magnificent statue and I agree with Tash -- it does look as though he could have been a ballet dancer! Love your composition as always, Jack! Superb capture for the day! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Beautiful photos, Jack!
The less excitement in a state capitol the better.
Nice photos though: You could have titled this "All Hail old Nathan (Hale)"!
He looks like he's getting ready to burst into dance! I like this statue.
What a fabulous building that is!
Dare I say he looks like a dancer having ravished his audience by his performance in the Swan Lake?
The flags in yesterday's post looks as they made it through the battle, I like that these flags show their age and wear on the battlefield.
Nathan Hale is a true hero and in a place of honor. Your capital displays much pride in it's artifacts and heroes.
I like the second shot best.
Nathan is look quite graceful here, I must say.
