Go Patriots!

Tonight is the Super Bowl.  The New England Patriots play the New York Giants.  Hartford is midway between Boston and New York City, so Hartford-area National Football League football fans will be split pretty evenly.

I grew up a dozen miles north of Boston, so my loyalties are obvious.  My lucky Patriots shirt is washed.  My Patriots banner is hanging outside.  My big-screen television is working great.  The cupboard and frig are full.  Bring it on!!  Go Patriots!!!

  6. A lucky Patriot's shirt? You are a source of constant surprises. I decided not to bring out my Packer wardrobe for this game. What a heartbreaker that was!!
Sorry but I don't really have a favorite this year, Have a great quarterback joke which involves Tom Brady, but you wouldn't like it. Have a good time today!!

  7. I don´t know much about your football and although it seems a spectacular sport, I prefer rugby. In any case, good luck for the Patriots, and the best team win!

  11. We have a tradition of some very good friends inviting us and another couple who are good friends over each year to watch the Superbowl, and the commercials, after cooking some brats on the grill. It is a delightful tradition, even if we don't have a stake or preference in the outcome of the game.

One of my sons works at GoDaddy.com, so we always have to watch the new GoDaddy commercial.

  15. DO NOT DISTURB! OK, I got the idea... :o)

  16. Since the Packers are out of it, don't really have a team to support. Hope you have a great Super Bowl Sunday, Jack.

  17. C'mon, Jack. You know it's never been "split pretty evenly. Hartford has always been a Giants stronghold. While the Pats' recent success has helped a bit, it can't offset the difference, especially after the weasel Kraft destroyed any chance it, revealing he lies, cheats and steals, whether it's during games (nice camera, pal) or his idea of negotiating "in good faith."

  18. I went to a souper bowl the other night. Is that what you're talking about? I don't recall seeing any patriots, though. Just a lot of gasbags.

Have fun lolling around in front of a big-screen TV chomping down on salty goodies.

  20. You're going to laugh but the suburb where I taught and lived had the Patriots as the HS team. So.... GO PATS!!!

PS Truth be known I don't watch pro ball and really have no interest but the logo you showed was the one we used in Homewood!
