Two weeks ago I was in Columbus, Ohio, for two days. German Village is a wonderful historic district immediately to the south of the downtown. The residents have a real sense of community and take holiday decorations seriously! When I worked in Columbus, my house was around the corner from the house with the green awning in the top photo.
The bright bows are pretty, but the houses are absolutely perfect. What a nice looking street!
ReplyDeleteBricks certainly seem abundant in that lovely neighborhood! The bows are bright and large, and the garlands are festive. Wonderful community spirit and great photo.
ReplyDeleteLove all that brick. Just need a dusting of snow to make it really festive!
ReplyDeleteJust visiting old friends or trying to get some ideas for Christmas decorations?
ReplyDeleteLots of brick! Houses, sidewalks, streets!
Yoy used to live in a very pretty place!
ReplyDeleteI think I might have to brave the shops tomorrow to find a few big red bows, they look so good Jack!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful area and decorated so nicely.
ReplyDeleteI like your extra jurisdictional posting: these decorations are lovely!
ReplyDeleteLove all the brick buildings -- so colorful for the season! Lovely area and beautiful decorations and, as always, Jack, your photos are terrific! Hope your week is going well and wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas!

ReplyDeleteOhhh, very striking decorations, beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSuch a nice ways to brighten up the autumn/winter landscape. . .and even the sidewalks are brick! Is this much brick common in Columbus, or is it confined more to some neighborhoods?
ReplyDeleteTerrific decorations, Jack! I love the fence with the red ribbons - such a clever idea:)
ReplyDeleteAnd did you decorate?
ReplyDeleteThey certainly are serious about their Xmas decorations
ReplyDeleteLooks like Toronto with all the bricks!
ReplyDeleteI like these old-timey decorations. They seem appropriate in this neighbourhood.
