How about a few pictures I wasn't able to fit in earlier?
the Watkinson School and the University of Hartford.
This gentleman wanted me to take his photo, so here it is
.
This intern at a TV station was being interviewed about some vandals who stripped the bark off a marvelous old tree in Elizabeth Park and then carved their initials into it.
Why would anyone want to strip the bark off that tree. Makes no sense to me at all.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful old house, hmmm 'his Mum loves him' face and why the heck would anybody want to do that to such a beautiful old tree!!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the house....that dude looks a little nutty....and why do people have to be so mean?
ReplyDeleteA divers roundup of photos today. i am trying to find the common thread between a stately mansion, a strange portrait, and environmental vandalism. Maybe the guy in the middle photo got so mad that he cannot afford the mansion that he took out his frustrations on the tree. That's the best I can do so early in the morning.
ReplyDeleteJack, great set of pictures. Wonderful portrait! I hope he likes it!
ReplyDeleteThe house is not exactly a small abode, is it? I often wonder who are the people who live in these stately mansions.
ReplyDeleteThe guy is obviously young at heart.
I am speechless re. the senseless vandalism. Hope those vandals are caught and punished, but that's probably not going to happen. Perhaps the initials could be a clue. Nasty individuals!
Many slices of life..The good and the bad, the ugly and the beautyful, stuff our days are made of.Anyway, You seem to be often at the right place at the right moment!Unusual and interesting post!
ReplyDeleteQuite a diverse range of photos. I agree with all the others about the large house, portrait and why do I believe kids do these things. On my walk around the neighborhood this morning I noticed some kids had recently sprayed words on signs. Why?
ReplyDeleteGreat shots, Jack. How nice of you to take that man's photo!
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting post today:)
ReplyDeleteI love the house!
Great, fun post for the day, Jack! Such a gorgeous house, the man is hilarious! Were you able to keep from laughing!! And how sad that the bark was stripped from the tree! And why??? Thanks for the smiles this morning, much appreciated!
ReplyDeleteSylvia
That house is simply gorgeous! But, the tree almost wants to make me cry. How sad.
ReplyDeleteThe house makes me cringe, the guy makes me smile, and the tree boggles my mind!
ReplyDeleteYou can keep that kind of photo coming even if I am a tree hugger myself...
ReplyDeleteNice series of shots. I hate when people vandalize trees.
ReplyDeleteThat house is fabulous!I'm curious about this series!
