Here you see the Goodspeed Opera House and the Gelston House from across the Connecticut River. Isn't this is a postcard-worthy scene? Photos of these two buildings from this vantage point are used often by Connecticut tourism agencies.
On the first day of each month, City Daily Photo bloggers have a "Theme Day." For August, the theme is "postcard-worthy."
Now I see why you saved this for today! Wonderful buildings, a great view for a very nice postcard!
ReplyDeleteTourism agencies should engage you; you do a lot for Hartford's fame through your blog! this "postcard" proves it!
ReplyDeleteThis one is indeed postcard worthy, showcasing this beautiful scene. The patriotic bunting is perfect against the backdrop of the opera house.
