Bandstand

Every New England town used to have a "green" or "commons," where the cows grazed and the townspeople met.  I read recently that there is only one Connecticut commons where agriculture is still actively practiced.

This is the bandstand on Canton's town green.  There is no agriculture here.  A busy state highway runs to the right of the commons.

  10. I believe that when I think of a slice of Americana this image would come to mind... perfect little church in yellow in the background and patriotic bunting graces the gazebo. I can hear Stars and Stripes in the background.
