The City of Hartford is building a new jail and police center in downtown Hartford, on a site north of the interstate highway that bisects the city.
On the first day of the month, City Daily Photo bloggers show pictures that illustrate the monthly theme. For June, the theme is "Under Construction."

Now that is construction
ReplyDeleteNice choice for the theme, Jack.
ReplyDeleteGood photo, Jack. And now you'll have someplace to put up people who come to visit you from Florida!
ReplyDeleteGreat capture! I imagine to work in construction is very harsh, not easy at all!
ReplyDeleteHugs and a nice weekend ( we are going out for some days)
See you next week,
Léia
Jacob's idea isn't too bad! Would this be our accommodations if bloggers visited you? The guys yellow shirt next to all the blue scaffolding really stands out.
ReplyDeleteMy link to the portal for theme day photos does not work, hope you visit me anyway. That darn computer-voodoo is at work again!
I love how you captured the worker in this photo!
ReplyDeleteWonder if that guy feels like he's already in jail Jack? great photo.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure construction workers are glad to have any kind of work in this economy!
ReplyDeleteI love that pop of yellow in the picture! We badly need a new jail here too, but it's been under debate for years-- no one wants a jail in their backyard.
ReplyDeleteIt's a nice photo Jack - you'll have lovely brand new jail soon:)
ReplyDeleteDid you have on your hardhat for this shot Jack?

This is the real deal. I hope it’s a tasteful building when it’s all said and done!
ReplyDeleteYou'll have to give us progress reports on this site
ReplyDeleteUnder construction, of course! Well done Jack.
ReplyDeleteI like the intricate scaffolding and the minimal human presence in this photo. Great choice for this theme day.
ReplyDeleteWill the new jail hold 535 inmates?
ReplyDeleteIf so, we've just found a new home for Congress!
«Louis» is for term limits! Limit them to two terms!
One in office, one in jail!
Nice of that fellow to peek out the window - good one!
ReplyDeleteRe your comments of other spaces - next year I plan to leave the day open to explore in particular the private spaces like this office - places you don't get to a see.
Does that mean I'll have to bring Jacob oranges? :-)Excellent take on the theme.
ReplyDeleteCurious, I believe that the worker wears Brazil´s soccer shirt.
ReplyDeleteJacob's comment made me laugh. Good picture for the day, especially with that guy leaning out. I admire construction workers very much, anyone with a specific skill like that. It would be nice to drive by a building and know you helped bring it to existence.
ReplyDeleteCan't miss that yellow shirt.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a large construction site -- lots of workers must be happy. Sarasota just built a new police headquarters which opened last summer. (In case you were wondering...)
ReplyDeleteNice theme day photo.
ReplyDeleteSorry I'm so late! Terrific capture for the day! Always can use another jail it seems!! Hope your day has gone well, Jack!

Now that's what I call construction. No bad boy is going to get outta here... nice shot.
ReplyDeleteVery nice shot an great entry for the theme!
ReplyDeleteIn Nancy, they've transferred all the prisoners to the new prison on the outskirsts of the city and they've just demolished the old one!
