This handsome cat shares space with notables at the Old State House's museum, which I described earlier.
I have an inside shot today because we have had interminable, drenching, miserable rain for days. And the forecast is for it to continue deep into the weekend. Blah! I'm going to Florida for a few days in the sunshine.
Have fun! The cat and the portraits make an interesting combination.
ReplyDeleteA huge cat! :) and beautiful portraits!
ReplyDeleteI hope the weather is better there. But go to Florida is an amazing idea, I'm envious now! :)

Quite a group of items brought together in this museum. Happy travels.
ReplyDeleteCool cat!
ReplyDeleteThose fellows seem to be well protected by that BIG cat!
ReplyDeleteSome of those cats don't look too happy! I like the one in front best!
ReplyDeleteYes, come to Florida and don't forget your golf clubs. It was 55 degrees here this morning, not a cloud in the sky, and the sun is brightly shining. The golf course awaits your arrival!
I wonder why the curator decided to combine the two? Very effective to see the cat among the portraits, but certainly very different combination.
ReplyDeleteVery strange juxtaposition of wildlife and colonial portraits.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your trip. Julie just sampled your rainy weather back East, returning late last night from New York. Since she grew up and lives in Arizona, she did not even think to take an umbrella. Who needs umbrellas?
We just had rain here yesterday and I loved every minute of it. Of course, we don't get it for days in a row. Have fun in the sunshine.
ReplyDeleteInteresting combination! Florida sounds great:)
ReplyDeleteHave a nice trip!
Come on down, the weather is perfect here! Unseasonably cool this week, but I hear the heat will be back this weekend.
ReplyDeleteI do love the combination and what a fun capture! Better than stormy skies, huh? Hope you find some sun in Florida -- this is our second day in a row of gorgeous, clear blue skies and I'm drinking them in -- the blue won't last much longer I'm afraid! Have a great break in the sunshine state, Jack! Enjoy!

Yes, great and original combination. The skulls caught my attention.
ReplyDeleteI bet that rainy weather system is the same one that's over Ontario!
ReplyDeleteHmmm. That sure is a BIG cat.
We have had the same rainy weather here although as I type the sun has come out! Have a good trip.
ReplyDeleteYou make it sound like the portraits are natural or other curiosities, lol! Are you going to play golf with you-know-who?! Have a great time!
ReplyDeleteRub it in, why don't you? You going to play golf with Jacob? Have fun!
ReplyDeleteIt's a nice looking cat. Judging by this one photo, it seems to be an eclectic display
I'd like to see this museum, even better if you can take pictures inside... We have so much sun here in Rome now, that some of my poor pictures look bleached!
ReplyDeleteThat's quite the display.
ReplyDeleteSorry about the rain.
I have wind non-stop and mosquitoes.
See you in Florida...but I won't golf. (I'll carry the clubs though:)
I'm glad you're gaining on me. I shot 81 on Wednesday with a double bogey on 18. Darn!
ReplyDeleteVery interesting. What's with the skulls?
ReplyDeleteStrange mix, famous people and this poor wild cat.. I wish you a good trip to Florida!
