Lafayette

General Lafayette and his mount are in a traffic island near a Connecticut state office building.

  6. That is a beautiful statue! We have quite a few things named after him here. He was given a parcel of land near Tallahassee known as the Lafayette Land Grant by the US Congress back in 1824, but he never even visited it.
