On the top, I liked the shaft of light hitting part of the fountain on an otherwise dark and cloudy day.
On the left, the sky was cool, but the light on the fountain's figures wasn't especially good, so I cropped it to show off the clouds.
I showed my daughter Susie's winter pictures of this fountain in February. This summer I will try again.
Wonderful detail of hits beautiful fountain!
ReplyDeleteGreetings, Karl
The first picture is particularly fascinating and the fountain is quite interesting!

This fountain is awesome!
ReplyDeleteI like the two views, and the expression of the sculptures face in the first one.Besides, they look sad, but it's beautiful!
Happy weekend dear friend,
Léia
Great first shot. I love it. Congratulations for the blog.
ReplyDeleteWhat an ominous sky!
ReplyDeleteI like the lighting and the darkish sky in the first shot. It really highlights the detail.
ReplyDeleteI wonder why it's taken me this long to sign on. I'm going to enjoy seeing Hartford through your eyes!
ReplyDeleteThe figures look so sad in that first photo. A very nice fountain!
ReplyDeleteThat top photo is stunning with the clouds in the sky
ReplyDeleteGood job, Jack! You really got the light right in that first picture. But I like the framing of the 2nd against the sky.
ReplyDeleteI rather like the crop with the brooding sky!

I love the carvings in that first pic! it is a lovely fountain.
ReplyDeleteI like the contrast of the light between the two photos.
ReplyDeleteGreat images of a beautiful fountain, I like the details of the statues!
ReplyDeleteLove these, especially the first one because of the lovely light and almost dramatic sky. It's a beautiful fountain, the reminder was quite welcome, I wasn't sure if those were Natives or not. Now I am. I enjoyed the Feb. photos again!
ReplyDeleteI like the first one. The light on the fountain is fantastic at highlighting the features. In addition, the dark sky provides a nice contrast. The sky may be a bit better in the second, but I think the first one does a better job of highlighting the subject.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it interesting how different light can make things look? I like the contrast between the two shots.
ReplyDeleteNice work. Really like the close up shot, showing the details.
ReplyDeleteFirst pic is fabulous! The dramatic clouds make the sadness of the characters even more impressive..
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
