Practice, Practice, Practice

The stairs from the pro shop and dining rooms at the Hartford Golf Club lead to the driving range.

I think this qualifies for Shadow Shot Sunday.

  1. You're a golfer? I bet this snow is just making you a bit 'nuts'...not being able to be out there. My BIL is an avid golfer.

  2. It's all white there, wonderful winter scenery!
Impressive as well...maybe a little bit dangerous for someone that need to face this stair!
    Take care okay!

  3. Whilst I am am no golfer, equally I am not of the opinion that Golf is a good walk spoiled ~Mark Twain. Snow and a blue sky, we do not get that often over here in England, looks good.

  4. The title of your post,"Practice. Practice. Practice," reminds me of what a friend and I simultaneously said to my wife after we emerged from a restaurant in mid town Manhattan and were about to walk to a concert and my wife actually asked, "How do we get to Carnegie Hall?"

    SILLY SHADOW DITTY

Shadows may or may not be
    Patterns of urbanity.
    If a shadow threatens you,
Here, my dear, is what to do:
Grab the shadow by the throat,
Toss it to a billy goat,
So the goat can chomp and chew,
    Keeping it away from you!

  6. All of the city daily photo sites should have an "18th hole" photo day!

  7. Nice contrast of the black railing with the white snow.

  8. Nice shot of the course and the pristine snow is beautifully offset by the railing and shadows. Bon dimanche,

  10. What a terrific shadow shot, Jack! I love the shadows of the railings, so sharp and clear! And as tired of winter as I am, the snow is beautiful with the sunshine!! Hope you have a great day!

  11. Looks like it will be a while before anyone is "driving" here.

  12. Ha ha, that sounds like my manager, she is a golf nut and is chomping at the bit to get outdoors and play a round or two.

  13. Time to get out the black golf balls. With all the ice, you wouldn't have to hit it hard.

  14. This is a really nice shot. It looks like a beautiful spot. Must be a great place to have a meal in the summer. Are there seats on the outdoor sections?

  15. Snow, snow, and more snow. It's a pretty scene, despite the fact that we're all tired of the white stuff!

  16. Wonderful shadows. Looks like no one has ventured down those stairs!

  17. I think you should have titled this one, "Melt, melt, melt." Otherwise, they'll never get to golf again on that course! Spring feels a long way off...

  19. I understand that golf is not a winter sport over there.

  20. At first I thought the driving range was still open. And looked for the orange balls.
