I love this restaurant. The fish is always fresh, the vegetables are colorful and tasty, plates are artfully presented, service is usually attentive, the place is full and spirits are high.
In an earlier post I mentioned that the Max Restaurant Group operates about a dozen restaurants in the Connecticut River Valley. They are all different but they are consistently good.
I sound like a shill, don't I? Hey. I like what I like!
Not an oyster fan here but I think it looks festive.
ReplyDeleteCan't beat a good seafood restaurant. I like the looks of this one.
ReplyDeleteHow are the oysters? They are one of my favorites right behind shrimp.
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing wrong with being enthusiastic for something you like! Next time you're there, take a picture of the food. I like seeing how restaurants arrange their plates. Sometimes it's as nice as the food.
ReplyDeleteSounds great and I really like the decoration.
ReplyDeleteIf I'm ever in Hartford, I'll be sure to check it out!
ReplyDeleteIt looks so lovely and sounds even better! Oh, Jack, your post made me hungry:)
ReplyDeleteNot a familiar venue here, I'm sure it would be delicious.
ReplyDeleteVery nice photo - could I use this on Max Oyster Bar's facebook page?

@Dawn. Sure. Use it however you like, but I would prefer a link to this blog so that perhaps some of your FB friends will begin looking at this blog, too.
ReplyDeleteIt's a nice photo, too. Maybe you ought to send it in to the Max restaurant group along with your comments...I mean, so long as you're gonna shill for 'em, you might as well get paid! Right?
ReplyDeleteRe College of Central Florida. Nope. The Univ. of Central Florida is a huge school (c. 45,000) in Orlando. CCF in Ocala is small in comparison and they are a hundred miles apart. You're right, though. I don't know how they came up with the name. It's confusing.
Plus, we've got the University of South Florida in Tampa, which doesn't make a heck of a lot of sense 'cause Tampa isn't "south" in Florida by any means.
Oh well...
Have a wonderful day!
