Spotlight Theater

A downtown theater and bistro opened a few weeks ago on Front Street in Hartford, across the street from the Marriott Hotel, the Connecticut Convention Center and the Connecticut Science Center. Development of a retail complex on Front Street began sixteen years ago but the opening of the theater is the first commercial use of the facilities. Next year Infinity Music Hall plans to open an entertainment center here and the Capital Grille will open a restaurant.  Getting Front Street up and running has taken a very long time.  I hope it succeeds.

Like reflections?  You can see more of them on James' blog, Weekend Reflections.

You captured some beautiful light in these photos. Sounds like some nice changes in this area even if it did take a long time to develop.

Lovely golden reflections, how funny, we are on opposite sides of the world and yet the same movies are showing in our movie theatres..Argo, i heard it was good, but haven't had time to verify! Bon weekend Jack.

Good theaters survive... and food too... across from plenty of foot traffic? Sounds like a pretty good combo for the times. Good LUCK to them!

It's great to see new theaters opening. Love the reflections in these photos. Yes, Jack, it's all about the photos, but sometimes I can't help myself but make comments on their content in terms of economic and social consequences. While I try to keep my political views to myself, they have a way of creeping in sometimes. But just remember, it is all about the photos. Appreciate your comments and your work.

Nice lighting, Jack. I hope there's plenty of parking behind that building. Btw, I'm suspicious of your whereabouts.

Okay, so I won't repeat everyone and mention how much I like the golden light. :D
No really I do love the lighting, but WOW they really need to get on the ball with that complex, 16 years!
