She worked intently on her laptop. Every now and then a new person walked up and sat down. She interviewed them for restaurant or other hospitality jobs. They left and she went back to her laptop.
He took the pug over to a bench and sat down while his wife went inside to place their orders.

And Ray rested for a while.
Coffee shops have become the office or living room for many people. For the price of a cup of coffee people can use the space as they like, even a good street photographer can spend time here.
