A Duck in Flight

I usually don't even try to catch a duck flying past.  They take off without warning.  They fly fast in unpredictable directions.  You have to have the right camera settings before they fly . . . it is too late to change the settings after they depart.  Then you have to spot them, get the aim right, focus, track the flight and not clip off a wing or other body part.

But I got this mottled duck.  Score!
