It has taken a long time for the annual garden in Elizabeth Park to be planted after removal of the tulips. I imagine that the coronavirus lockdown limited the number of volunteers helping at the park, so the work was done only by the park's paid staff,
But, it is now planted, perhaps two or three weeks later than usual.
I plan to show it again in late summer, when it is lush.

A lot of things were late this year. Plus it was a cool spring.
ReplyDeleteGood to see those pants all set out.
ReplyDeleteMany organizations that rely on volunteers are having the same problem. Our local Habitat For Humanity is now working mostly with paid staff that usually supervise volunteers.
ReplyDeleteIt looks nice. I finally got to go to the botanical garden yesterday (by appointment only now) and I saw that all the "animals" from last year's art display are still there. They should be long gone by now. I'm guessing the virus has slowed down the dismantle process too.
ReplyDeleteNonetheless it is a welcome sight, and I can't wait to see your follow up photo!
ReplyDeletePretty!
