Two Blue Herons


Two dark blue herons.  The tricolored heron (above) has a white belly, a light stripe up the front of its neck and it has light-colored legs.  The little blue heron is dark blue throughout, including its legs.

    And it they were in the same photo, we'd see the difference in their sizes! Great blues are truly great!

    A noble pair of birds. We have Blue Herons here in the summer, but they are difficult to photograph as they fly away if they see any human.
