A Cormorant's Eyes
Have you ever looked closely at a cormorant's eyes? I had not. But, when I zoomed in on this cormorant, I was struck by the ring of dots around its eyes. I wonder what they are for.
Cormorants are fascinating birds. They spend time fishing under water, but their feathers have no oil, so they get wet and must dry their wings. They are domesticated in China where they fish for their owners.
Loved the last shot...it looks like he's laughing away! Me too!
ReplyDeleteJust for a bit of bling, Jack! ;-)
