Hike Up to the Heublein Tower

When the kids were small, it was an October tradition to hike up Talcott Mountain to the Heublein Tower to see fall foliage.  Yesterday I hiked alone in mid-August for a new tradition,
Hike to the Mic, which I will show tomorrow.  Here is the hike.

Halfway up, a steep wall usually appeals to rock climbers, but not yesterday.

There are numerous outlooks.

  1. Good for you...I tried that climb a few years back, and quit at an overlook. It was December and not as much color. Tee hee, like all the greens you hiked through turned B&W!

  2. The B&W looks quite effective, Jack!

  3. Fine application of b&w to document your walk. Need stout hiking shoes for this walk.

  4. Those are very very interesting rocks. Makes me want to read some geology of the area.

  5. The b/w is dramatic. Shadows on the lines of the rocks make me think about climbing, but just remembering really.
