Steam Fire Station No.6
A fire station on Hartford's Huyshope Avenue was decommissioned 35 years ago. Today it houses a homeless shelter. Along the way, two colorful women's profiles have been painted on the doors.
I wonder what they did with the firmen's pole. THat's always an interesting thing in a decommissioned firehouse. Nice murals! best ... mae at maefood.blogspot.com
Great murals, and I'm always glad to see what a re-purposed fire house is doing these days. I'll be in our museum (inside the old fire house) here on Wed. afternoon.
Colorful.
ReplyDeleteThey are lovely, Jack!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful murals Jack, and I'm glad the firehouse is now serving as a homeless shelter, I'm sure it's sorely needed.
ReplyDeleteThanks for participating.
They are so beautiful Jack and I love that they are putting the old fire station to such a good use ✨
