Hôtel-Dieu de Québec is a teaching hospital affiliated with Université Laval. It was started by Augustinian sisters in 1640 on a site across the street from my hotel.

City Hall is a striking building on a very steep hill.
A cafe I photographed at night was equally colorful on a sunny morning.

And, everyone who goes to Quebec ends up photographing

I remember that restaurant's night photo, and can now see how it was red and purple at the same time! Guy in the sun must have been in FL for the winter to have such a tan already!
ReplyDeleteIt is an incredible city. You've photographed it beautifully.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. Chateau Frontenac is quite a place. The name always makes me think of Plaza Frontenac in the St. Louis suburb of Frontenac Missouri. When I worked in St. Louis, it was one of our favorite places to go shopping.
ReplyDeleteYou showed the city well, Jack! I picked up a Louise Penny book at a Little Library this week so looking forward to reading it I have never read any before.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fine series of photos from your travels.
