The Boston Red Sox came from 4 runs behind last night to win 9 - 6. They now lead the Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series, 3 - 1. With a win tonight, they will become world champions again.
Down 4 - 0, Mitch Moreland hit a three run home run to bring the score to 4 - 3.
Steve Pearce tied the game with a solo home run.
Brock Holt doubled and then scored to take the lead 5 - 4.
Pearce came up with the bases loaded and emptied the bases with a double to make the score 8 - 4.
The Sox got another run and in the bottom of the ninth inning
the Dodgers got two more runs but fell short.
Long games, but exciting for a long-time Red Sox fan.
Would be fun to see a game one day. Although this one took, what was it eight hours?
ReplyDeleteThe last time I had checked it was 4-0 for the Dodgers. What a comeback!
ReplyDeleteI was watching a hockey game! ;-)
It finished too late for the newspapers when I bought one this morning. Hopefully Boston wins it all.
ReplyDeleteThe Sox have dominated the Series. Not sure the Dodgers ever had a chance.
