Ife is an arts administrator. She was born Michelle, but 27 years ago she was looking for a name for her baby daughter. She came across the name Ife and took it for herself.
Lisa was ordering lunches for a doctor's office. I offered to carry the bags to her car if
she let me take her photograph. I got the better part of that bargain.
She sells hamburgers. Could you guess?
Lisa (above) and Nicole (below) both work in a boutique in West Hartford Center.
They were reluctant at first to be photographed. I told them I would delete the photos if they didn't like them. They each chose one they liked best. Here they are.

You are so brave the way you ask people for portraits, Jack!
ReplyDeleteWonderful portraits!
ReplyDeleteAnother fabulous group of portraits Jack.
ReplyDeleteGreat that Ife chose her own name. I like mine so I've never been tempted to change but I think it's a great statement to make.
ReplyDeleteSuper portraits!
ReplyDelete(I'm sorry you had trouble posting today. I'm not sure what's going on but I think my site chokes when someone hasn't commented for a while. This happened to Kate/Visual St. Paul the other day but I've not gotten complaints from others who post daily. I updated some of my software this evening. I hope that improves things. I'd appreciate if you'd drop by again soon and let me know if it's still a problem for you. Thanks.)
Five women and one photographer! Well done Jack on the wonderful portraits of these beautiful women.
ReplyDeleteDifferent faces, different personalities. Love the hamburger hat!
