St. Patrick's Day - - The Crowd

The Naples St. Patrick's Day Parade is a big one, the biggest in the area, and the biggest parade on the Naples calendar.  I will start with crowd scenes to set the stage.  Tomorrow, some of the parade  Tuesday, some of the parade participants, close-up.  Then on Wednesday, faces in the crowd.

  1. The warm weather makes me envious! Will go to St. Paul's Parade, tho, even if it is cold. Love the tutu on the adult and the hula-like skirt on the tiny girl. Having our family corned beef, cabbage, boiled potatoes, soda bread and shortbread cookies today. Going downstairs right now for Irish oatmeal.

  2. They certainly all got the message of wearing the green.

  3. Fun shots, Jack!

We had ours yesterday, but the temperatures probably never got higher than -20C, so that had an effect on the number of onlookers, though I saw a good many shopkeepers and people in apartment windows looking down.

  9. I love those two little munchkins. It definitely looks like the weather favored Irish eyes -- even more than in Ireland. Did you see Bill Burke's parade in Moville?
