The original Cafe Luna was torn down in the redevelopment of Fifth Avenue South.
The restaurant re-opened in North Naples. I like the paintings of musicians and singers.
The restaurant reviews are great but I thought my food was average.
Will have to give them another try.
For me what's on the plate is more important than what's on the walls. Judging by the three singers you've shown us it may be that the drinks are the main attraction????
ReplyDeleteCafe Luna sounds more like a coffee house to me. Kind of you to give them a second chance before moving on.
ReplyDeleteI love those paintings of the three gentlemen whose music I grew up with.
ReplyDeleteI do love those paintings! Hopefully the food improves!
ReplyDeleteThe paintings appeal to me!
ReplyDeleteNot sure that place would tempt me - those chairs look very upright for a start! It annoys me (though I suppose it is an understandable trend) that all restaurants these days have hard floors and bare tables and no curtains / drapes to soften the acoustics. A nightmare when you're deaf, as I do like a little conversation with my meal. I just looked it up on Trip Advisor - it only gets average reviews so far. I think they'd better try harder, so you have a better experience next time.
ReplyDeleteIt looks a bit stark except for the pics, Jack! Needs a bit more atmosphere will make the food taste better.
ReplyDeleteThe famous "Rat Pack."
ReplyDeleteAverage meals are so boring! I keep getting them from my favorite kitchen in Sequim. One of these days I'll have to try some new recipes and see if they inspire any improvements.
Happy New Year Jack. I love the cafe photo. Pity the food was a bit of a let down. Maybe just a bad day. I look forward to your comments after your next visit.
ReplyDeleteSo disappointing when this happens Jack but was the coffee good at least!
