Ibis
Mourning dove
Anhinga
Black-crowned night heron
Great white egret
Three of a large group of wild turkeys outside the sanctuary.
No wood storks or green heron during my visit, and
the great blue herons were too far away for decent pix.
Wonderful photos of all of the birds Jack!
ReplyDeleteThat is a big variety of birds all beautifully photographed.
ReplyDeleteQuite a mix of birds. I know of a photoblogger who does the RV snowbird thing with her husband through the winter, and they enjoy hiking trails, so I've seen quite a number of anhingas in her posts.
ReplyDeleteIt is surprising that there were no wood storks there, Jack!
ReplyDeleteyou've gone and turned into a regular birder haven't you?! great series of birds!
ReplyDeleteSome impressive looking birds there. Nice close-ups!
ReplyDeleteNice photos, Jack, a change from your usual portraits. The Great White Egret is the only one we see in England. It used to be very rare but is now seen quite often (if you know where to look).
ReplyDeleteThese are great shots, especially the birds we don't see around here: ibis and anhinga. The anginga was putting on a nice show for you. It has some beautiful feathers.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos. The dove is pretty. We don't have that kind.
