November is not supposed to be like this. On Wednesday the temperatures reached 70 degrees.
I walked around Hartford's Bushnell Park at lunch time. The shirts were playing the skins in frisbee.
The soldiers and sailors arch was bathed in light.
As was winged victory.
And General Israel Putnam, always a favorite of mine, because
he came from the Massachusetts town where I grew up.
I was also able to take a decent photograph of the Pump House Gallery at the southwest corner
of the park, usually unphotographable in its dark shade.
That looks very nice. We have had two cold days and it has snowed a couple of times!
ReplyDeleteWhat a bonus to have good weather in November. We've just had our first frosts of the autumn, I've been digging up the Dahlia tubers to store them for the winter.
ReplyDeleteI am surprised at how delighted everyone seems to be about the warm weather. I wonder what this means for us in the long run?!
ReplyDeleteVery nice images Jack. The weather here is weird today. We just had a short 5 minute hail blast followed by a rainbow and now the sun is out. Crazy and it's only 48F
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots, particularly Winged Victory. We've got temperatures down near the freezing mark today.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you had snow last week and this week people are out shirtless! Great walk in the park.
ReplyDeleteWe are warm here too! Everyone is smiling!
ReplyDeleteFine use of November light, but from that frisbee game, i does not look like November at all.
ReplyDeleteThe day - and light - definitely cooperated with you. It looks like you had a very nice walk.
