Memorial
Friends, family and neighbors in New Hartford left chrysanthemums on the front porch
of a man who was crossing the street when struck and killed by a drunken driver.
How very sad. I wonder when alcohol will be recognised as the killer that it is? Will it ever? Harming yourself through misuse is one thing but those who harm others under its influence should be treated much more severely. (They tend to get locked up for just a few years in UK, nothing like the punishment they'd get for murdering someone.)
Ugh. Another life cut short by a drunk driver. How sad.
ReplyDeleteMisuse of alcohol certainly has caused a lot of tragedies.
ReplyDeleteHow horrible.

ReplyDeleteVery sad.
ReplyDeleteA nice touch with all the colourful flowers from the neighbours.
Some people will never learn.
ReplyDeleteVery sad.
ReplyDeleteAs they used to sing long ago:
ReplyDelete"when will they ever learn?
when will they e-ver learn?"
So sad for his family and friends.
ReplyDeleteA nice memorial, a sickeningly sad event.
