Sanibel is absolutely flat.
Bicyclists flow here and there and everywhere.
Recumbent bicycles, three wheelers, everything.
At some point during their visits, most tourists will rent some bikes
and pedal around the island.
There are 25 miles of bike trails to enjoy.
Looks an idyllic place to ride a bike - like Cambridge but without the crazy car drivers. It seems that the prices to hire a cycle are about the same too.
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun. It's much better when you don't have to do it on the road.
ReplyDeleteI like biking when it's flat. :)
ReplyDeleteYou do find great places to have fun!! I do hope all is well! I'm enjoying a visit with my new and only grandson!! I'll be back soon!
ReplyDeleteIt certainly looks pleasant for biking.
ReplyDeleteThat does look like a fun thing to do.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful place for a bike ride, Jack!
ReplyDeleteI want to ride my bicycle:)
ReplyDeleteI would love this :) What a peaceful way to see the island.
ReplyDeleteOnly 25 miles of bike trails? That ought to take a couple of hours. I always enjoy a few hills. I've been going down hill for years. :-)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lovely place for bikers.
ReplyDeleteOh, to be biking again would be such a pleasure. There are hearty souls here who bike year round, but not I.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a delightful place to ride!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like Sanibel is well set for pedelers...and it looks like there are plenty of them, too.
ReplyDeleteWhenever I'm on the island, I partake in I've named the 'Mucky Duck Challenge': bicycling out and back from the Lighthouse cafe to the Mucky Duck on Captiva. I think it's only 23 miles. But, try doing it in July -- yowza! Not for the faint of heart.
ReplyDeleteThat looks so safe I might even have a go.
