Last year I was away from Hartford and Naples much of the time.
It is pretty hard picking favorites from thousands of images,
It is pretty hard picking favorites from thousands of images,
but here are some I remember fondly.
The Prato in Padua, visited in March, is Italy's biggest square and one of the biggest in Europe.
This iPhone photo in the Roman Forum on a rainy March day was a favorite.
I was in Duxbury, Massachusetts, for the Fourth of July celebrations.
I liked the ripples in the sand and the positions of the teenagers in this August Cape Cod sundown.
This image of Notre Dame in September is from a quiet garden across the Seine.
It is admittedly quite conventional, but I liked the peacefulness, compared with the noisy crowds
always found in front of the cathedral.
When I run across a photographer and model, I often try my hand, too, so long as I don't interfere with their work. This Parisian model was in the Palais Royale in September.
This elephant munching palmettos was a favorite Botswana safari photograph from November.
And, out of 13 gazillion photographs of Willa, I particularly liked this November shot of
Willa discovering her reflection in a mirror.
Out of the thousands of images that you photographed last year, I think that the ones I have seen of Willa has captivated me the most.
ReplyDeleteSuperbe !
ReplyDeleteOwning up to having favourites Jack :) Love all your images but you excelled in Africa, both with wildlife shots and granddaughter images, the one here is an absolute delight, she is too sweet. Don't you just love being a granddad, I adore being Gigi :)
ReplyDeleteP.s. I hope I didn't forget to wish you all the best for 2016!
Oh my, these are all fantastic but, that shot of Willa is adorable.
ReplyDeleteI especially like the photo of Willa. Children change so quickly, so it's fun to capture them as they learn new things.
ReplyDeleteOf course I love all of your captures, but the one of Willa is definitely my favorite today!! The expression on her face is so delightful! Wouldn't it be wonderful for us to be able to see the world through Willa's eyes!!! I hope you have a great New Year, Jack!!
ReplyDeleteYou are a fine photog, Jack, and you've proven it again with these marvelous shots! Kudos!

ReplyDeleteI really liked that shot of Willa too, Jack! I always enjoy your posts so it was nice to have a wee review of the year and your travels. ;-)
ReplyDeleteWilla takes the cake, hands down.
ReplyDeleteI think I like the beach scene the best - lots of subtleties - but the photo of your granddaghter and the mirror is priceless.
