Photo of the Year

One of my self-imposed rules is that my "photo of the year" must be from Hartford or Naples,
which eliminated quite a few candidates in 2015.

In September I was on a plaza at the Connecticut River waterfront when the sun was low in the sky.
Everyone else was behind me at an event.  So, I turned around.  I hid the sun behind
the "boat building" at the left of the image, with some light leaking through.

On January 1, the photographers of the City Daily Photo community show their favorite
photographs of the previous year.  Click here to see them.

  12. I remember this one. You had some great shots in 2015, Jack. Perhaps in the coming days you'll permit yourself to post some from the many places you visited. The one on CDP is spectacular.

  15. Follow the yellow brick road? Empty Hartford after whatever? But I REALLY like your picture on the CDP theme day notice.

  16. Well you have done a lot of traveling this year Jack, I'm thinking of all your incredible captures while in Africa. I do love the light and architectural detail in your choice for the theme.
