Did I mention that daughter Susie is a fanatical gardener? Five more years and her place will be one of the mainstays of the Sun Valley garden tours.
It is now the start of winter, and many plantings are calling it quits
for the season, but there are still plenty of beautiful flowers.
In addition to thousands of flowers, vegetables and herbs, Susie has planted dozens of trees,
shrubs and bushes. Here are a couple. More some other day. Or some other trip.
Jack, thank you for sharing all of this beauty which your daughter loves and tends. I look forward to other photos as you're able to share them. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWow!
ReplyDeleteImpressive work here.
Did Susie inherit any 'green thumb' traits from Dad?
So much colorful beauty!! Susie is a talented gardener indeed!! Terrific captures, Jack!! I do love the variety!!
ReplyDeleteMy (envious) compliments to your daughter: she is an excellent gardener!
ReplyDeleteA lot of the plants you've shown grow here to. Especially that pencil plant in the last photo, of course the bougainvillea and the lion's tail is abundant here. But I have to comment on the perfectly shaped rose. Gorgeous bloom!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colour, Jack!
ReplyDeleteWow - her place must be a small paradise, Jack!
ReplyDeleteThat must be a labour of love in what looks (from your other photos) like a dry and dusty environment. Pretty bougainvillea - I wish they grew here.
ReplyDeleteSusie sounds like a lovely, young woman. I know you are enjoying every minute with her and Willa.
ReplyDeleteI love all the beautiful flowers.
ReplyDeleteThe plants look wonderfully exotic!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous series! I especially like the redish Euphorbia at the bottom.
