Back in West Hartford

Connecticut always feels more Christmas-y than Florida.
Even without snow on the ground.
Here through New Year.

  5. You can't go home again but you seem to do it all the time! You associate Xmas with Connecticut 'cause that's where you lived so long and you didn't know any better, that Xmas can be even more fun on a warm beach sipping a mojito where Santa is about 18, blonde, female and wearing a bikini!

  7. I love the lights. More and more people in Berlin are decorating for the holidays these days. (Not my MiL though... she says the red star we bought her makes her house look like something from the red light district. :S)

  9. Hmmmm. I have a hard time with Christmas in sandals drinking cocktails under palm trees. Really, I do.

Forgot to say that your nutcracker collection is impressive. I'm more into Erzgebirge angels (orchestra) and smokers... :-)

  11. Didn't realise you were flying north again, snowbird. But I can see that a cold Christmas feels more Christmassy than a warm one.
