when my husband was in the rv business he'd go to yuma for the winter...lots of snow birds there...big business for rv's back then, till the recession.
we drove around florida in december. my goodness, 3 years ago by now? i still think about that trip often.... (we landed in memphis, drove to new orleans, eventually flew back to boston from miami..). it was quiet indeed and i loved it!
I like this shot. Nice to see that people are still walking about in shorts. That season is over here.

I tend to love quiet places, without or before the hordes...
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a great place for an evening stroll.
ReplyDeleteSo why are you 'early' to the party? Do you not feel my pain?
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful shot!! Looks like a great place to stroll -- well, before the crowds arrive!! Hope your week is going well, Jack! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! Love the palm trees.
ReplyDeleteA splendid time of day for this shot, Jack.
ReplyDeleteThe car traffic looks pretty bad already, Jack!
ReplyDeleteI'm heading to the airport. No coats on the people I can see in your shot. It is freezing here :).
ReplyDeleteLooks fancy!
ReplyDeletePuts me in a holiday mood just looking.
ReplyDeleteI imagine that when the Huns sorry the hordes arrive, you'll be there taking portraits...
ReplyDeleteLove the warm tone, it adds to the serenity of the scene.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a nice shopping spot.
ReplyDeleteI like the atmosphere as it looks now. I'm not sure I'd like it so well in January when the streets are crowded.

Enjoy the peace and quiet. Season has already started in Sarasota.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to be one of the hordes escaping the cold.
