Looking Upward

This elegant stone house is in the Middle Haddam historic district of East Hampton, Connecticut.

The Hotchkiss-Fyler House is on the National Register of Historic Places.
It is a property of the Torrington Historical Society.

And, the owners of this lovely Victorian house must be boosters for
the North End of Middletown, Connecticut.

  1. I do love these older homes as they have so much more charm than newer ones.

  2. Three massive and beautiful houses; the angle takes them away from the "ordinary" and makes the viewer pay attention!

  5. My favorite is the top one. I love that solid stonework. It looks like it's been there for a very long time and will stay there for many more years.

  7. Such beautiful homes, Jack!! Thanks, as always, for sharing the beauty! Now if someone said to me, "move in tomorrow" I'd choose the 3rd one, but the first one is fantastic and I do love the stonework! Now isn't it great that I don't have to make a choice!!!!

  8. They are all three fantastic, although the second one is my favorite. I do love the perspective in the first shot.

  9. Beautiful houses, Jack. The first one reminds me a bit of the farmhouse owned by my cousin.

  10. Yes I'm with Jose, the stone walls in the first shot are wonderful.. I'm wondering how you got this angle in the last shot Jack, there's not much of a slope and you are tall :)
