More Faces of Hartford

Lloyd calls himself "old school."  He is 85 years old and worked many years
at Pratt & Whitney.  He says that he wears a hat every day.

During the week Keirsten works in a sedate real estate office,
but her real passion is roller derby!

Shakyla is 17.  This summer she is working in her mother's clothing boutique.
And, yes, she is signed to a modeling agency.

Laree operates a business called Vintage Chic by Design.  She also organizes special events.
She recently closed her store, but she still operates the business online.
Laree is thinking of opening a new store for the holidays.

  1. All of them are great, but I really like your 3rd portrait. Full of life!

  4. The ladies are gorgeous, but I admit that I was impressed by the Pratt & Whitney guy... I also like the idea that he wears a hat every day!

  5. Roller derby? Really? Lloyd looks great in a hat so good for him for wanting to wear one every day.

  6. Lloyd is a handsome fellow who looks like he is enjoying his retirement. I can almost see Keirsten rolling around the track. You completely read my mind with Shakyla. My very first thought was she ought to be a mode. And, if I popped into Laree's store I just might walk out with that red jacket with the buttons on the lapel.

  8. Roller derby!! I used to love watching the old roller derby with the banked tracks but the new ones on a flat floor are not as exciting! IMO.

  10. Great shots!
I'm having trouble believing Lloyd's 85. And roller derby? We had a realtor in Arizona who packed a pistol. I think I prefer roller derby. Shakyla is gorgeous and Laree looks like she's full of energy.

  11. They're all great portraits. As much as I love the colour and vitality of them, the first is my favourite. Rather whimsical.
