Lanny is a professional photographer whose studio is at 56 Arbor Street.
He does a lot of the promotional photography for Theaterworks and other corporate and nonprofit accounts. He was getting ready to do two portrait sessions when I visited.
After that, he was flying to Germany to photograph a client's new factory.

He have a bunch of fine portraits.
ReplyDeleteGreat camera lens. I should have started this avocation sooner!!
ReplyDeleteI followed the link to Lanny's web page. I'm impressed.
ReplyDeleteOh, nice camera! I wonder what kind of camera he uses. I will follow the link to his website to see his work.
ReplyDeleteGreat work! Thanks Jack.
ReplyDeletegreat shot of the photog!
ReplyDeleteThat is not a lens I would have thought of as a portrait lens. He must be good at what he does if he flies off to Germany for clients.
ReplyDeleteHe definitely has a professional camera! I'll be sure to say hi if I see him on the streets of Berlin. :)
ReplyDeleteA true professional without a doubt and what a camera!! Another terrific "people" capture, Jack!! You are good!! Thanks as always for sharing! I do love your captures, they are exceptional! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteWell done. Not often the photographer gets to sit in front of a camera. Lanny is highly talented, but I feel sorry for professionals these days. Everyone with a cell phone thinks they are a photographer so no need to hire a professional.
ReplyDeleteI also hope the Hotel Pattee is a success as the new owners have invested a fortune in the place.
He certainly looks like he takes things seriously.
ReplyDeleteIt's good to see him doing so well. Many photographers are finding things tough here and often have given up their studios and just rent space short term when they need it.
ReplyDeleteNice work if you can get it.
ReplyDeleteI am sure he likes your portrait of him!
ReplyDeleteI like his expression.
ReplyDeleteWhoa, nice camera.
ReplyDeleteVery nice, Jack. Did you pick up any tips from him?
ReplyDeleteYou captured him without it looking posed - bravo!
Bises,
Genie
Portrait: nice. Camera: nice. Setup: nice (that's quite an armature it's on!).

ReplyDeleteThe photographed photographer - that's always a challenge and you did a fantastic job of it.
