Naples Botanical Garden I - Butterflies


Donna is a docent in the butterfly house at
Naples Botanical Garden.
She explained the lifecycle of the butterflies and pointed the different kinds out to us.

  1. Very nice. There's an excellent Butterfly "garden" near Boca Raton also.

    Looks to me like you're spending way too much time in gardens and at races instead of where you are most needed - the golf course!

  3. These are all butterflies that show up at the Desert Botanical Garden for their spring or fall butterfly pavilion. That should not be a surprise since the butterflies here actually come from Florida. The pavilion just opened the first of March but I haven't been yet. I need to get out there this week.

  18. The docent looked to be holding a tarantula to me. (I saw one big enough in Death Valley once that it cast a shadow.)
    Lovely butterflies and nice shots of them. This looks like a great place to have fun with your camera.
