I just liked the little statue and its green surroundings.

  2. Cute. Must have seen you coming with camera in hand. Do a lot of people do this when you're on the prowl?

  5. Better for the subject than the photographer to be hiding in the bushes.

  8. Perhaps the statue of this young woman is just shy, or she hasn't moved in a long time. Makes for a beautiful photo.

  9. Wonderfully framed. I love the rich green color against the beige of the statue.

  10. Jack, check out my blog on Monday to see how the falls were harnessed. I try to tell the story, and hopefully that will answer your question.

  11. I like it, too, Jack. Very much.

My photo of the girl leaning on the tree is as is, straight out of the camera. I didn't even think of cropping it because I like the bicycle in the background on the right side of the tree trunk--it's so Portland.
