Babs was a social worker for many years before she retired.
Her clients were often disabled, either mentally or physically, or both.

  4. Expertly done. Congratulations to her on her worthwhile career. (My late mother was a social worker, and my sister-in-law is one.)

  9. There is a softness there... And she must have been a working angel.

  10. She has a wonderful face. She looks like a kind and caring woman. But I think social work would be hard and maybe even heartbreaking at times.

  12. I'm in the "so you must be a portrait photographer" camp now. Good job, good work. And your interior decorating seems to have taken a pause these days anyhow.

  14. Anyone working in related fields will immediately realise that the phrase "social worker for many years" is remarkable in itself; most of them don't have long careers as the work is both tough and unrewarding financially. There must be an inner toughness to this gentle-looking woman.

  16. Retirement is lots more fun than working for a living, esp. profession as difficult and draining as hers.
