I think your next photoseries should be a house tour!:) Back to the lovely image - that is some weeping willow. If the lights flashed or changed colors, it would make a most flashy Xmas tree.
I can imagine your front door with two matching such weeping willows on either side. Pretty classy ;)
I can't imagine finding such an item in a French used furniture store. Here they're more like thrift shops and you wouldn't find such a 'classy' item there. By the way, I wonder what the price was. Do you remember?
thats huge!! i love love love such stores... in usa they were so much bigger, better and cheaper than here in the netherlands.... (and crazier stuff, haha, like this). btw; next time you are in the netherlands you do have to tr the cheese!!! we are famous for that!
Jack if you were going to buy a pair of theses I would love to see the interior of your home.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see both the interior and exterior!!
ReplyDeleteI see...
ReplyDeleteWhat a shame they only had one! I feel your pain, Jack.
ReplyDeleteThree would be a better number to buy than two. An odd number is better Feng Shui. Also, once you have three of something, it is a collection.
ReplyDeleteYep, I feel your pain, too, Jack!! This was just what I needed to get me moving this morning!! :)
ReplyDeleteI see your point. One would be like buy one sock or one shoe, it just wouldn't work.
ReplyDeleteA very nice place...
ReplyDeleteLOL! Now you really made me laugh, Jack!
ReplyDeleteThat's rather striking. So...how big exactly is your place? ;-)
ReplyDeleteIf you have a large enough room, this could work! :)

a wonderful blog.
ReplyDeletei like it.
Yes. They'd have made a beautiful pair of bedside lamps. Did you console yourself with a couple turtles to grace your front entry?
ReplyDeleteEven the fake turtles are basking in its warmth.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if it lights up? ;-)
ReplyDeleteNow that's the sort of thing I could put up in a house... but where would one find the room?
ReplyDeleteHow quaint Jack ... I'd settle for one if those cute turtles or is it tortoises ( always get them mixed up)
ReplyDeleteI totally need this....
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't have guessed that about the stores. Turnover when elderly retirees, um, vacate?
ReplyDeleteI prefer the real ones.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful weeping willow, but a bit too large for my home...
ReplyDeleteWell, it makes a great picture! You could use it as a background for portraits, lots of "bokeh!"
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing this is a little 'tongue in cheek' Jack :) You can pick up some treasures in places like this.
