Looking Out

Sue was born in Missouri, moved to West Virginia when
she was married and later moved to Oklahoma.
She now lives in East Naples with her daughter.

Sue likes to find a bench at a quiet part of Naples Beach.
She reads and she looks out at the gulf.

  1. I am from Missouri, so I hope that I can make the observation without offending others that her moves to West Virginia and Oklahoma before reaching Naples, Florida, illustrate that sometimes the path to an objective is not always a straight line, and you have to take a step back, or at least sideways, before reaching a better destination.

  2. It is a strong, wonderful portrait as she gazes off into the distance. She probably has some interesting stories to tell!! Monochrome is perfect for this one!

  3. There is a lot behind that face. A whole lifetime filled with stories and everything life brings with it.

  6. I like your take on 'Looking Out'…including the black and white treatment. One of the reasons we live here is to look out at the Gulf, right? Hope all's well!
