Joy on the left and Amy on the right are identical twins whom I frequently see around town. Joy puts out a West Hartford lifestyle magazine and Amy is a massage therapist. When I see them together I can tell them apart, but if I ran into just one on the street, I am not sure I could figure out who it is.
Sometime I want to pose them next to a reflective surface. Reflections of twins? Four at once? That would be fun.
The theme for September for City Daily Photo bloggers is "Pink." To participate, link your post on September 1 to the CDP theme day page.
I am belatedly linking this to Weekend Reflections, because, after all, identical twins are reflections of each other, don't you think?
To distinguish the two you need only look at who wears the hat, but it can be problematic when the two change their outfit :)
ReplyDeleteTwo nice and happy ladies.
Could their hair styles be a clue to their identity? Joy's seems much different than her sister's.
ReplyDeleteAt least they don't dress the same! All your portrait subjects have lovely smiles.
ReplyDeleteGreat capture Jack. Beautiful shot!
ReplyDeleteTheir glasses and jewelry are different...and the hat, of course...otherwise they really do alike! Which is the point of identical twins. Nice portrait(s)!
ReplyDeleteIntrigued by aging twins.
ReplyDeleteTwins (and triplets etc) have always fascinated me! Lovely smiles!
ReplyDeleteJack, this a strike of genius: a reflection without a reflecting surface! Love your portraits of the almost identical ladies...
ReplyDelete'Stroke of genius' would be better...
ReplyDeleteTwins are a funny mystery. I'd really like to see them together in a reflection!
ReplyDeleteI think your reflection idea is terrific, you should try to do that. Lovely young women and beautiful smiles! Great shot for the day, Jack, as always! Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteWonderful portrait. Great idea on the reflection shot. That would be fun.
ReplyDeleteGreat twin smiles! :-)
ReplyDeleteTerrific portrait.
ReplyDeleteI have cousins who are twins, identical, Robert and Paul. In adulthood, they're not quite as identical- one's taller and leaner. I do have to remind myself which is which...
Funny! You manage to find reflections everywhere!
ReplyDeleteThere was a pair of twins in San Francisco - older ladies - who dressed alike - rather flamboyantly and went everywhere together. They were a real icon. One passed away not too long ago. But for decades anyone walking around the downtown streets of S.F. could hear mention of "the twins" and know who it was.
I want to see that reflection! They are really identical and could pass for the sister of someone I know - weird.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely true.....wonderful portrait...
ReplyDeleteTwins are so fascinating. Perfect reflection shot!
ReplyDeleteYes! The Brown twins! I hope you found pictures of them. They were quite a sight to behold!
ReplyDeleteWonderful shot and smiles.
ReplyDeleteGreat portrait Jack. Just remember when you run into them separately, Amy wears a hat :)
ReplyDeleteI think I can see some differences in the muscle tone and lines on the faces, but it's a good thing they don't wear identical glasses.
ReplyDeletearen't you the clever one? and unique too! I was the same way with twins in my classes. Thank goodness their personalities set them apart!
ReplyDeleteThose two big smiles that twins have make this a feel good photo.
ReplyDeleteThat a funny "relfection" indeed... Quite a perfect mirror... Well played, Jack !
ReplyDeleteAn original way of reflection, nice portrait.
ReplyDeleteThat nifty fifty is sooooo good, you too Jack :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh this is great! Thank you for all the comments, I feel the love, and I'm sure Joy does too!! Thanks Jack!
ReplyDeleteYou are absolutely right and if their hair was the same length, it would be hard to know which was which.
ReplyDeleteOh, you can not go wrong.
