Last week I wrote that my hotel in Venice was just north of Piazza San Marco and overlooked a canal.
Did I also mention that you can arrive and depart in water taxis? And that you get into the water taxi -- or a gondola -- by crawling through a window in the sitting room?
Locanda Orseolo.
Looks like you have just framed an innocent man.
ReplyDeletePS: I hope you going to post some photos of you climbing through the window. :-)
Only in Venice! :-) Great composition, Jack.
ReplyDeleteEach city has its special to have charm!:o)
ReplyDeleteWe organized a group of 16 friends and family for a trip to Italy, and we included Venice. On our gondola tour we were treated to James Bond traveling by boat right between our three gondolas during a break in the filming of Casino Royale.
ReplyDeleteha, love it!
ReplyDeleteI would think this might a bit difficult especially for someone who is tall.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes!! I love it, too! What fun!! Hope your week is off to a great start, Jack!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a window to great adventure.
ReplyDeleteNice story, I didn't know this!
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to look dignified climbing through a window!
ReplyDeleteThat is SO Venice to crawl through a window to get to the water taxi. Great image!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I would love to catch a taxi crawling through a sitting room window. Hope you didn't have to do it *too* often:)
ReplyDeleteSpectacular!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot! And my imagination is running wild at the thought of crawling out a window to catch a ride.
ReplyDeleteLooks very nice and I would have expected the water taxi bit, but not climbing out a window! :)
ReplyDeleteI'd love to crawl out the window to "escape." Did you do it?
