The Van Wickle gates at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, are opened only two times each year. They are opened inward in September to welcome incoming students and opened outward on commencement to send graduating students into the world.
Interesting trivia on the gates that lead to higher education.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit Jack... I'm a class of 68.. hard to believe it's been 45 years since I graduated HS! As to my health, I've more or less quit giving updates, as I know it gets boring for people when there isn't a lot of positive things to say, so unless a person asks, I don't say much. I am still struggling with the clots, although that's getting better slowly. The thing that seems to be hardest is getting my strength back. It's now 6 weeks since the fusion surgery and I still feel weak as a kitten most days... I see my orthopedic tomorrow so I hope he'll send me to some PT so I can get to feeling stronger... thanks for asking and your thoughts and prayers.
