The Civil War monument in New Britain has a message that works for me.
Congratulations to the law enforcement personnel

ReplyDeleteWhen we were young, Peace and love was a great moto, I'd like to hear it again ..
Have nice week-end, dear JAck!
It's a nasty world we inhabit.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes! I, too, sooo agree with you, Jack!!
ReplyDeleteI so agree! What a day yesterday was listening to the news all day.
ReplyDeleteYes, Jack! I, too, so agree with you!
ReplyDeleteYes, definitely! Beautiful shot, Jack.
ReplyDeleteAmen, Jack.
ReplyDeleteQuite a monument!
ReplyDeleteI've always liked that sentiment from General Grant. I used that quote towards the end of my manuscript.
Great looking monument. I'm right with you on this sentiment, Jack. We live in violent times, but perhaps less violent times than the Civil War.
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful monument.
ReplyDeleteShalom!
its good they caught him indeed. but so very many lives have been changed by their actions, and that cannot be undone...
ReplyDeleteYes, you're right !
ReplyDeleteBeautiful capture
I so wish it was a more peaceful world. Nothing could justify the horror that Boston has endured this week, apparently at the hands of those two misguided young men. I'm glad they've caught them and hope very much they were not part of a network.
ReplyDeleteVery nice monument
ReplyDeleteNice post.
ReplyDeleteAdorable golden detail! Brilliant composition!
ReplyDeleteLéia
A very fitting post. Who better to have been quoted but Grant?
ReplyDeleteCouldn't agree more! I love the shot.
ReplyDeleteAmen, brother. I've got some concerns, though, about whether our species is capable of it.
ReplyDeleteAmen.
