Let's Have Peace

The Civil War monument in New Britain has a message that works for me.

Congratulations to the law enforcement personnel
for capturing the second Boston Marathon bomber.

  8. Quite a monument!

I've always liked that sentiment from General Grant. I used that quote towards the end of my manuscript.

  9. Great looking monument. I'm right with you on this sentiment, Jack. We live in violent times, but perhaps less violent times than the Civil War.

  13. I so wish it was a more peaceful world. Nothing could justify the horror that Boston has endured this week, apparently at the hands of those two misguided young men. I'm glad they've caught them and hope very much they were not part of a network.

  17. Amen, brother. I've got some concerns, though, about whether our species is capable of it.
